So, here I am again, this time with DROP DOIS on the horizon.
I confess that I didn’t think I’d be doing a second drop this soon, but consistency is key and I’d like to stop overthinking every single little detail when it comes to why I’m releasing product and the story behind it, so here we are - I’m bringing you along for the ride and sharing all the insecurities and certainties and decisions.
So what’s different in DROP DOIS? Well, not a lot actually. I decided to keep things simple but also complicate them a little bit, this time with more inspiration from vintage sportswear merch.
Let’s start with the simple part:
This second drop picks up where we left off - same reasoning, similar format.
Basically, as an expert hat wearer, I made something that I didn’t have in my collection and that I Love and actually want to own and sort of put my own little spin on, so you’re getting three new snapbacks, all in the same shape/fit this time, but I decided to be more experimental with fabrics and colors in order to give you more of a statement piece and head turner.
Now for the slightly more complicated part, which is not that complicated at all and is meant to help you:
Because the first drop was composed by two different shapes of hat, and in order to make it easier for you to understand the fit/shape of each hat, I’ve decided to name them as we go, and I’ll provide more information on each in the product pages in the online store.
So for now we’ll have the [TYPE 01] and [TYPE 02] shapes.
[TYPE 01] is the shape used for our Script and Crime Snapbacks - a slightly lower and more narrow profile, unstructured crown and comes with a slightly curved brim.
[TYPE 02] is the shape used for our Betta Snapback - a higher and wider profile, more reminiscent of a classic vintage merch or sports snapback, still with an unstructured crown but featuring a mesh panel on the inside to maintain shape, and a flat brim, which you can then leave flat or adapt to your personal taste.
This is also the shape for all three snapbacks on this second drop.
And that’s it for now!
During the following days I’ll be sharing a more detailed look and description of the three new snapbacks, as well as information regarding the release event and date.
